Elizabeth is a well-dressed little March hare, ready for spring to arrive. She measures 3½" excluding her ears, and is 4½" tall from the tips of her ears to her dainty little toes. She sits about 2½" tall.

Elizabeth is made of beautiful ecru Maldon Mills vintage long-pile upholstery velvet, with cocoa-coloured ultrasuede footpads and inner ears made of soft brown medium-pile upholstery velvet. Her curved arms with downturned paws are wired and she is stuffed with polyfil with treated steel shot in her tummy. She has a furry bunny tail made of cream ultra-long-pile viscose fabric. Her limbs are securely thread jointed and her head is cotter-pin jointed.

Her eyes are large onyx beads and her bunny-style nose is embroidered in black embroidery floss. I have added a touch of pink to the tip of her nose. She has delicate whiskers made of the finest invisible nylon thread. I have added soft shading around her eyes and around her footpads. Her face is needle- and scissor-sculpted.

Elizabeth's ensemble consists of a guipure lace collar with "antique silver and amethyst" brooch, a stylish velvet hat, and matching handbag. I handstitched the hat from cashmere upholstery velvet and lined it with pure silk. Two little slits edged in buttonhole stitch enable her ears to poke through. The hat is removable. Her handbag is made of thin vintage kid glove leather.

Elizabeth sits and stands well and will add quiet elegance to any bunny collection...
