Isabella
is a 2½" teddy toddler with
big eyes who is looking for someone to adopt her and love her like their very
own...
She is made of beautiful ecru Malden Mills vintage upholstery velvet and has
cream ultrasuede pawpads and footpads with gentle shading around the edges.
She sits 2" tall.
Her
big eyes are 3 mm onyx beads with dark shading around them. Her little nose
is embroidered with black embroidery floss threated with clear beeswax. Her
face is needle and scissor sculpted.
Isabella
wears a tiny white felt diaper fastened with a brass safety pin. Her
pretty pleated dress is made of red and cream check cotton fabric and is removable.
It fastens with a tiny polymer clay button and thread loop at the back. She
wears a matching bias-cut bow.
Isabella
loves her soft little blanket, which I made from the softest, thinnest Dream
Angel quilt batting, edged with blanket stitch. As she is still very much
a baby, I have also given her a square of fluffy micro-fibre plush on which
to sit and play.
I make a point of making my bear clothes removable whenever possible - I remember
being very frustrated with sewn-on clothes on my dolls when I was little,
and cutting off the threads that secured them. Isabella is definitely a bear
for someone who likes to play with their bears! I have so enjoyed dressing
and undressing her for her photo shoot. She changes from diapered baby to
grown-up little toddler before your eyes - she is just soooo cute!
As
always...
