MAMBA

Poisonous African snake, green or black - the black one is gray, in fact. That's what I thought too, until I went here  and typed "mamba" in the search box. It's also a mouse (pointing device, not rodent), a movement against bandwidth abuse, a mine protected vehicle...the list goes on.

This page, however, deals with mamba as in miles and miles of bloody Africa, southern Africa, at least, on a Guzzi.

mamba1.JPG (51785 bytes) Matopos hills, central Zimbabwe.
mamba2.JPG (41571 bytes) Kyle View, near Zimbabwe Ruins, a world heritage site. Isn't that road shoulder scary ?
mamba3.JPG (50633 bytes) Baobab tree, Northern Province, South Africa. On this day in July '97, I went to inspect carvings in the bark which I had made in 1960, when it was not a sin to do so. They were still there.
mamba4.jpg(42 kb) Chobe National Park, Botswana. More @ this external link
mamba5.JPG (71939 bytes) Biker gang in Botswana. I'm the fellow on the extreme right, stooping into the picture, anticipating cropping the photo.
spaza shop.jpg (63884 bytes) A typical "spaza shop" in rural South Africa. The bewildering selection of goods is worth a click.  Catering  for capitalists, priests, gangsters, fashion freaks. Note funky artwork on the building.
