My bond with motorcycles was born out of a need for a vehicle to commute about 100 miles per day.  Driving an Alfa Romeo at the time and using an Olivetti computer, I figured Moto Guzzi would augment the theme quite nicely.

First bike was a V50, which taught me  that the most expensive way to own a big bike was to buy a small one first. Soon a SP followed, which was sold in favour of a Le Mans 2 (bottom of this page - it lives again).

The SP was partly wrecked, I bought it back, and most of that bike is incorporated into the white monstrosity on  this page next to the faithful G5, or BlouPiet - that's BluePete, one word.

As the need for commuting diminished, motorcycling became a tool for  recreation. It now forms a sizable chunk of everyday life, and quite useful too: I seldom use a car anymore. It has also been responsible for the most notable events in my life, the outstanding one being a tour of Europe . Once I figure a way to get reasonable jpg's from slides, more about that on this homepage.
